Adding lightness as Colin Chapman once quoted. And the Caterham Superlight was all about that! Débuted at the Birmingham Motorshow in 1996, the Superlight brand was created and the Superlight model was the first of what would become one of Caterham’s great successes. Built down to a minimum weight, with an uprated 1.6 K Series engine and 6 speed gearbox, the Superlight was an instant hit. This original Superlight was built back in 2002 and was one of the very last, sporting build number 191 on its dash plaque. Ideal for the track and great for the road, this is undoubtedly the sweet spot of the Caterham range.
