Meet The Sevens & Classics Team
Sevens & Classics was founded in the summer of 2013 by Tim Ward and Andy Noble, bringing together over 60 years of combined experience in the motor industry, including 50 years between them at the legendary sports car manufacturer, Caterham Cars. Tim retired at the end of 2023 to enjoy a more relaxed pace of life, while Andy continues to lead the company, dedicated to upholding Sevens & Classics’ outstanding reputation for quality, expertise, and a genuine passion for classic cars.
Our guiding principle is simple: to always exceed expectations. Every aspect of what we do is focused on making that happen, ensuring our customers receive the very best experience, service, and vehicles.
-

Andy Noble - Managing Director
Andy’s career with Caterham Cars began in the mid-1980s, shortly after he graduated with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. Joining the company at just 23 years old as its 14th employee, he quickly rose through the ranks and became a Company Director at 27. He later took charge of Caterham’s Sales and Marketing operations. During his time at Caterham, Andy played a key role in the development of several iconic models and programmes, including the Caterham JPE, the Caterham Classic, the Caterham Academy race series, and the renowned R500.
A passionate motorsport enthusiast, Andy raced Caterhams throughout the 1990s—most notably competing in the Nürburgring 24 Hours—and continues to be an avid fan of racing on both two and four wheels.
-

Sam Bradley - Workshop Manager
Sam brings more than 13 years of hands-on experience across multiple motoring sectors—often all at once. His background spans vintage Volkswagen restoration, engine remanufacturing, drift tuition, drag-racing crew support, welding, mechanical engineering, and even factory management. If it has wheels, gears, or the potential to go fast, Sam has probably worked on it.
With a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for the motoring world, Sam helps ensure that every customer can trust Sevens & Classics for exceptional service and quality workmanship.
When he’s not leading the workshop, you’ll likely find Sam working on his 1974 VW Beetle drift project or glued to the latest Formula 1 race.

Claire Mannooch-Noble - Parts Manager
Claire began her working life in hairdressing before making a career shift in 1994 to join the parts department at Caterham Cars. After taking a sabbatical to raise her son, Jake, she embarked on a unique new path as a reindeer trainer, before later becoming a tea-blending expert for a leading specialist tea company.
Claire has now returned to her roots and manages the parts department at Sevens & Classics. She also does her best to keep the Sevens & Classics boys in line and looks after Herbie, our esteemed Head of Security.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys motorcycling and crafts, and is currently mastering the art of stand-up paddleboarding.
-

Andy Nicholson - Expert Valeter
Andy has spent many years working in the automotive body repair and valeting industry. For seven years, he managed the valeting department at Caterham Cars, ensuring their showroom and vehicles were always presented at their absolute best. He now brings his extensive knowledge and experience to Sevens & Classics, helping us elevate our customer service by ensuring every car we supply looks immaculate. He is yet another highly valued member of the team.
Outside of work, Andy is a keen photographer and shares his work on a very active Instagram account for those who’d like to take a look.
-

Ewan Johnston - Technician
Ewan is our main technician, having successfully completed his apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance. A true classic car enthusiast, Ewan brings passion, precision, and a wealth of knowledge to every vehicle he works on. Outside of the workshop, he can often be found on the track with his MG ZR, leading the race team for his godfather’s MG ZR, or simply tinkering with and restoring classic cars to their best possible condition.
Ewan’s enthusiasm for cars is matched by his competitive spirit off the track—he’s a formidable Wiff Waff player (that’s table tennis for the uninitiated!) and enjoys a good challenge just as much as he enjoys a perfectly tuned engine. His combination of skill, dedication, and love of all things automotive makes him an invaluable part of the Sevens & Classics team.
-

Sue Ward - Accounts
Sue began her career as a bookkeeper for Alfa Romeo, where she honed her skills and built a strong foundation in finance and administration before taking time out to raise her family. Once her children reached school age, she pursued a new path in education, dedicating 20 years to shaping young minds and managing classrooms with the same precision and care she had applied to her earlier work.
Now back in her bookkeeping roots at Sevens & Classics, Sue plays a key role in keeping the company organised and running smoothly, ensuring that everything behind the scenes operates efficiently.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys staying active at the gym and keeping fit.
-

Herbie - Head of Security
Many think he’s too young for the role, but Herbie proudly heads up Security at Sevens & Classics. He can often be seen patrolling the premises, keeping a watchful eye on things, and giving our customers the once-over before granting them entry.
Herbie is a social pup who loves visits to the local pub to greet his fans, and when he’s not on duty, his favourite activities are eating, sleeping, and generally looking adorable. Security has never been so cute!
